General Summary
The Manager - Speech Therapy is responsible for defining problems, collecting data, establishing facts, and drawing valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions, have the ability to read, analyze, and respond to inquiries or complaints from clients and effectively presents information to top management.

Essential Functions, Duties & Responsibilities
Core duties and responsibilities include the following:
- Report directly to Sr. Director- Speech Therapy depending on center location.
- Enforce quality standards for Speech therapists in order to maintain BYS’s high quality of care for our families.
- Work in conjunction with Behavior Technicians, Speech, Occupational Therapists, and BCBAs to ensure collaboration within and between disciplines.
- Monitor Speech Therapy team within therapy center to ensure compliance with BYS policies, procedures and HIPAA compliance.
- Act as a point person for Speech department needs. These may also include but not limited to aspects of scheduling, emails, discussion of therapy, parent concerns, reviews, and will be dependent based on center and team size.
- Take part in occasional interviewing and assist with questions related to scheduling.
- Assist with Speech Department projects and tasks as assigned by Sr. Director – Speech Therapy.
- Will monitor and report inventory of needed items for the respective center.
- Other duties and special projects as assigned.
Skills Required
Include demonstrated competencies and physical, mental, & interpersonal skills.
- Master’s degree in Speech Therapy.
- Licensed Speech Therapist with a minimum of 2 years experience working with children on the autism spectrum.
- Previous supervisory experience with the ability to lead a team and supervise therapists. Knowledge of discipline specific assessment tools and procedures.
- Ability to think critically, solve problems, and make leadership decisions.
- Must possess strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to lead and work as a team member.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to multi-task, prioritize, execute on deadlines and produce high quality deliverables with attention to details.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
